About Us - What is Lutheran?

The simple answer is that a Lutheran is a Christian; someone that’s a disciple of Jesus.

But, as we know, some people define Christianity in different ways. In the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod (LCMS), we use a very healthy, solid foundation  to define our walk as Christians. These documents are called the Lutheran Confessions. These are summary statements (from the Reformation) defining the basic doctrines found in the Bible concerning Jesus, and what it means that He is our Savior. Our Savior Lutheran Church uses the Lutheran Confessions as our core doctrine.  We are an evangelical, confessional Christian church.

Common Questions

Why have Worship as part of your life?

It’s healthy!  God’s Word encourages believers to regularly gather together. We are not at our best as disciples just on our own. God calls His people to come together. At worship, we are nourished by God’s Word and Sacrament. At worship, we have the opportunity to support and encourage each other.

When is Communion?

Communion is on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays

What about my kids?

We have Children’s Sermons at every worship.  Families are encouraged to have little ones be with them in worship.  There are coloring and craft bags available.  We provide Nursery Care for infant to 2 year olds also.
